Real Men Read

Southwest Public Schools launched Real Men Read this month! The Real Men Read elementary mentoring program is a valuable initiative designed to promote literacy and positive male role models in elementary schools. This program pairs male volunteers from the community with young students to share the joy of reading and encourage a love for learning. Through one-on-one or group reading sessions, these mentors help instill a sense of confidence and curiosity in the students, while also reinforcing the importance of literacy in their lives. Real Men Read not only improves the reading skills of young learners but also fosters meaningful connections and relationships that can have a lasting impact on their educational journey and personal development. This program serves as a beacon of support and encouragement for children, inspiring them to become lifelong readers and learners. There is still room to sign up for December!
